Nukus preschool teacher and assistant accused of beating children (video)

A disturbing video surfaced on social media yesterday, February 5, showing a teacher beating children with slippers at a private preschool educational institution in Nukus, the capital of Karakalpakstan. The Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Karakalpakstan has since initiated a response to this incident.

The investigation revealed that the disturbing event took place in November 2024 at a private preschool. The video shows R.Sh., a teacher, and D.S., an assistant teacher, physically punishing children in their care.

The Nukus city prosecutor's office has launched pre-investigation procedures into the case, with the matter now under cthe ontrol of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Karakalpakstan to ensure proper legal action is taken.

This case follows a previous incident where a child at the "Solnishko" preschool in the Sergeli district of Tashkent was severely beaten by a teacher, resulting in a broken leg. The child received emergency medical attention and was transferred to the Republican Emergency Hospital No. 16 for further treatment.
