16010Up until the present day, drivers have been compelled to violate traffic rules due to improperly placed cars at intersections. Such instances are captured by cameras installed by business entities, resulting in fines being imposed on the drivers. In light of this situation, Bobur Bekmurodov, the chairman of the nationwide movement "Yuksalish," has called upon the Ministry of Internal Affairs to take a series of measures addressing these business activities. The Traffic Safety Service has issued a response to these proposals.
The matter stems from President's decision PQ-4913 dated December 7, 2020, wherein business entities were granted the authority to install technical equipment along highways, effective from March 1, 2021.
"As per the stipulations of this decision, the necessary technical evaluations will be conducted by responsible organizations and agencies for the technical apparatus installed by these business entities. Following successful testing, these installations will be put into operation," states the message.
The purpose of this communication is to provide an unbiased evaluation of these situations, to assess the state of road infrastructure and technical equipment, and to enhance the organization of traffic at intersections. It has been reported that a working group comprising accountable officials has been established. Presently, the group is reevaluating the traffic organization and the condition of technical equipment at intersections.
It is noteworthy that in cases where fines have been imposed by business operators, the deputy has suggested their revocation, with reimbursements to be made to the drivers by the businesses. Additionally, measures are proposed to be implemented to allow individuals to file complaints about unjust fines through an online platform.
