Gas station in Navoi accused of stealing 26 billion sums of natural gas

During a joint inspection conducted by the "Uzenergoinspeksiya" Navoi regional department, the regional prosecutor’s office, and the gas supply company, it was revealed that the gas filling compressor station of S.A.S. LLC, located in the Navbahor district, had illegally used natural gas worth 26 billion sums. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.

The inspection found that at this gas station, an unknown object had been placed in the gas taps at both the inlet and outlet of the device installed in the gas flow measurement complex. This was done in violation of state standards, with external interference applied to manipulate the meter. According to preliminary calculations, the illegal activity caused damages amounting to 26 billion 27 million sums to the gas supply company.

It was reported that law enforcement agencies are currently conducting a pre-investigation into the case.

It is worth recalling that earlier, a metal smelting shop in the Yangihayot district of Tashkent was discovered illegally using natural gas worth 5 billion 775 million sums.
