Man arrested for attempting to sell 30 hectares of land illegally in Navoi

The head of an LLC was detained for attempting to illegally sell 30 hectares of land in the Navoi region, according to the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office.

The operation, conducted in cooperation with the Navoi regional department of the Department, the State Security Service, and the Internal Affairs Directorate, resulted in the arrest of J.A., head of "A.N." LLC. He was caught with material evidence while fraudulently accepting 350 million sums for the illegal transfer of 30 hectares of land from the Nurota district, which had been allocated to the enterprise under a lease agreement, to citizen K.Kh.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 168 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and investigative actions are underway.

This follows a pattern of similar cases in Tashkent, Andijan, Surkhandarya, and Khorezm regions, where individuals have been detained for attempting to profit from government land plots.
