Tragic road accident in Namangan: Schoolgirl hit by Lacetti

In the Uychi district of the Namangan region, an 11-year-old girl was hit by a Lacetti. As a result, the girl died from her injuries. This was reported by the Namangan regional traffic police.

The incident occurred on February 22 at around 15:10 on the road passing through the Yakkatut neighborhood. According to preliminary information, the Lacetti was moving at high speed when the girl, born in 2014, ran onto an unmarked part of the road. She was taken to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Currently, a preliminary investigation into the accident is underway.

The Investigation Department under the Namangan City Department of Internal Affairs has initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 117 (Endangerment) and Part 2 of Article 266 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
