A major fire occurred today, February 4, on Toraqurgan Street in Namangan city, the regional Department for Emergency Situations reported.
At 2:46 a.m., the Emergency Situations Department received a report of a fire at a building owned by a limited liability company located on Toraqurgan Street in the Shodlik mahalla of Namangan city.
According to the report, fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene at 2:52 a.m. The fire was contained at 2:57 a.m. and fully extinguished by 3:45 a.m.
As a result of the fire, approximately 90 square meters of the building’s roof and ceiling area were damaged by flames.
No cases of burn injuries were reported.
It is worth noting that on January 31 this year, a fire broke out at the Aviator shopping and entertainment center in Yashnobod district of Tashkent, resulting in the death of a three-year-old girl. A criminal case was initiated in connection with the incident under Articles 192-11 (abuse of authority by officials of a non-state commercial or other non-state organization) and 259 (violation of fire safety regulations) of the Criminal Code.
