Tragic car accident in Namangan claims 5 lives (video)

A devastating car accident occurred in the Chust district of Namangan region, resulting in the deaths of five people. This tragic incident was reported on social media, and the Namangan regional Internal Affairs Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic has provided an official response.

According to the report, the accident took place on January 8 at 08:45, on the 8th kilometer of the D-116 “Chust-Akhcha-Pop” highway, in the Qorakapa municipal district of Chust. The driver of a Lacetti car lost control, veering into the opposite lane and colliding with two vehicles, a Damas and a Labo, traveling in the opposite direction.

As of now, official details regarding the identities of the deceased have not been released. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.

For context, a similar tragic event occurred earlier, when a 79-year-old kindergarten director died in a traffic accident on the Konimeh-Zarafshon highway in Navoi region, while traveling to a New Year's event.
