NOC leadership participates in the meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia

4342The 90th Executive Committee Meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) took place in Kuwait, with representatives from Uzbekistan's National Olympic Committee (NOC) in attendance. The meeting focused on outlining the organization’s short-term plans and addressing preparations for upcoming major multi-sport events, as reported by the press service of the Uzbekistan NOC.
Uzbekistan was represented by Otabek Umarov, OCA Vice President and First Deputy Chairman of the NOC, along with Azizjon Kamilov, Chairman of the Uzbekistan Judo Federation.
Key items on the agenda included updates and organizational matters related to the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Summer Asian Games, with officials delivering presentations on the event. Additionally, reports from OCA standing committees were presented, and an agreement was signed between the OCA and the Kuwaiti government, ensuring the autonomy of the organization's headquarters.
As part of the official visit, Uzbekistan's delegation engaged in high-level discussions with senior Kuwaiti government officials, OCA leadership, and members of the broader Olympic community. These meetings focused on fostering closer cooperation and strengthening friendly ties between the organizations.
