13558The crisis in Ukraine has caused serious disruptions in the supply chain. This was stated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today 16 September, at the expanded meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
«The crisis in Ukraine has caused serious disruptions in supply chains and subjected the world to an unprecedented energy and food crisis», - said Modi.
He noted that the SCO should try to develop reliable and diverse supply chains in the region and for this, it is necessary to improve transport links between countries.
“Ensuring the food security of our citizens is a serious problem. A possible solution to this problem is to support the growing of new types of food crops, especially millet, in the SCO region”, - said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, referring to the food problem.
