After Mirziyoyev's criticism, road repairs began in Surkhandarya (video) 

It was reported that during the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Surkhandarya region, accompanied by the governor of the region, Ulugbek Kasimov, he drove a car and tested the quality of the roads and was not satisfied.  After this criticism from the head of state, repair works on 111 kilometers of roads in Surkhandarya began.  This was reported by the Press Service of the Surkhandarya Regional Government.

As part of the project, the highway with a total length of 111 kilometers will be reconstructed.  It passes through the Boysun, Bandikhon, Kumkurgan, Altinsoy, and Denov districts of the region.  Today, the main works are being carried out at the construction site.  Currently, more than 70 special machines and mechanisms and 120 employees are involved in the facility.

According to the information, the total cost of the project is 227.3 million dollars, of which 183.8 million dollars is the Asian Development Bank loan and 43.5 million dollars is the share of Uzbekistan.
