5233Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Kyrgyz President Sadir Japarov, and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon will hold their first-ever trilateral summit on March 31, 2025. This was announced by Kyrgyz Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov during a high-level meeting at the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
According to Baisalov, the summit will take place in the Tajik city of Khujand.
“This will be an important step in strengthening regional cooperation,” the Kyrgyz government’s press service stated.
It is worth noting that on January 8, a trilateral meeting was held between Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, Kyrgyz Cabinet Chairman Odilbek Kasimaliyev, and Tajik Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda. That meeting took place at the point where the borders of the three countries intersect—Batken (Kyrgyzstan), Fergana (Uzbekistan), and Sughd (Tajikistan).
