Mirziyoyev plants saplings in a new park

On November 23, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev planted saplings in a new park under development as part of the nationwide “Green Space” project. The event was reported by the presidential press service.

During the tree planting, the President engaged with members of the public and foreign diplomats, expressing his gratitude for their support of the initiative.

“We have this tradition. Our people call nature ‘mother’ and hold deep respect for the land and water. The significance of this is evident in the challenges we face with current environmental issues. That is why we launched the ‘Green Space’ project, and next year has been dedicated to environmental protection. These efforts must be widely promoted, especially among our youth. Every household and every enterprise should contribute to preserving nature,” Mirziyoyev said.

The event was broadcast to the public in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and other regions, where saplings were also planted. It is expected that 80 million tree and shrub saplings will be planted as part of the "Green Space" project during this fall season.
