Mirziyoyev and Putin hold a telephone conversation

6001On June 24, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and President Vladimir Putin of Russia held a telephone conversation, as reported by the President's press service.
Mirziyoyev conveyed deep sympathy for the terrorist attacks in Dagestan, offering his condolences and words of support to the families of the victims.
"The President of Uzbekistan strongly condemned this inhuman violence and expressed his readiness to continue active cooperation between the relevant structures in the fight against common threats in the field of security," the report said.
They also discussed the implementation of agreements made during Putin's visit to Uzbekistan on May 26-28, along with plans for future activities, including within multilateral organizations.
It should be noted that on the evening of June 23, two terrorist attacks occurred in Dagestan. Militants attacked the cities of Makhachkala and Derbent, resulting in the deaths of more than 15 policemen and several civilians. Mirziyoyev also sent a letter to Putin expressing his deep condolences for the loss of life among law enforcement and civilians due to these attacks.
