Mirziyoyev and Meloni plant oak trees as symbol of Uzbek-Italian friendship

On May 29, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni planted oak trees together on the avenue of the Congress Center in Samarkand. The Presidential Press Service reported the event.
The tree-planting ceremony was held as a symbol of the friendship between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Italy, and of the shared commitment to further develop and strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Following the ceremony, the Italian Prime Minister continued her visit by touring historical monuments in Samarkand. After the conclusion of the visit, President Mirziyoyev returned to Tashkent.
As previously reported, President Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister Meloni adopted a joint declaration in Samarkand to deepen strategic partnership ties between Uzbekistan and Italy.
