Mirziyoyev discussed economic issues with his British adviser

Yesterday, 16 December, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Suma Chakrabarty, his adviser on economic development, effective management, and international cooperation.

In the meeting, the results achieved within the framework of economic and management reform in the country and plans in this regard were considered.

The head of state, while focusing on the updates in all important areas, emphasized the importance of modernization and ensuring competitiveness of the priority sectors of the economy, transformation processes in state administration, as well as digitization and continuing work on investment attractiveness.

Suma Chakrabarti emphasized that the effective measures taken by Uzbekistan in the difficult situation in the world economy ensure the dynamics of economic reforms and supported the continuation of joint efforts in this field at a new stage.

Other important agenda items were also discussed at the meeting.
