2820President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated military personnel on the 33rd anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan and the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland.
"On this solemn day, which has become a symbol of glory for all of us, we extend our congratulations to our brave and courageous sons and honorable veterans who have dedicated their lives to the noble cause of defending our Motherland, and express our best wishes to them," the President said.
He also paid tribute to the eternal memory of the heroic military personnel who gave their lives while fulfilling their duty to the nation.
"I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the parents who raised these brave and valiant defenders of the homeland, and to their families, who have been a pillar of support during their military service," the President added.
Mirziyoyev highlighted that, thanks to the large-scale reforms implemented in recent years, the Armed Forces have become a true guarantee of the country's independence, the inviolability of its borders, and the peaceful, prosperous life of its people.
"All branches of the military are being equipped with modern weapons and technology, and the combat and moral training of military personnel is continuously improving. The national army has become a school of courage and honor for them and for the youth," the President noted.
"Most importantly, the growing bond between the people and the army is infusing new strength and quality into the development of the military sector," he added.
The President also expressed his joy at the increasing interest in military service among the younger generation, noting that thousands of young men and women are courageously joining the defense of the Motherland.
"We see in these brave young individuals our future heroes, the officers and generals of our Armed Forces, and the skilled commanders of tomorrow," he concluded.
