President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent congratulatory greetings to the people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of Uzbek Language Day, celebrated today, October 21, the Presidential Press Service reported.

In his message, the Head of State emphasized the importance of the timely and effective implementation of the main goals and tasks outlined in the recently adopted ’’Additional measures to further develop the state language.’’ He specifically noted that the program ’’Implementation of the concept for the development of the Uzbek language and language policy for 2020–2030 in 2025–2026’’ should involve not only the responsible and relevant institutions but also the active participation of everyone.

’’I sincerely congratulate you, dear citizens, our entire nation, and all compatriots abroad on this blessed date, Uzbek Language Day, which holds a firm place in the socio-political life of New Uzbekistan,’’ the congratulatory message reads.

The leader of Uzbekistan emphasized that at a time when the influence of artificial intelligence is rapidly increasing, promoting and developing the native language with the help of this powerful tool has become a necessity of the era.

’’Based on the rich potential of the Uzbek language, it is essential to create nationally attractive brands that align with the thinking of our people and to promote our products in foreign markets. I believe that patriotic entrepreneurs will show special dedication in this regard,’’ he stated.

Mirziyoyev also noted that revising the main orthographic rules of the Uzbek language, adopted thirty years ago, is an urgent task.

’’It is necessary to increase modern and impactful media content aimed at promoting language, culture, and literacy among our people, especially the youth. Teaching our children to love our native language and to benefit from its unparalleled richness and possibilities is an integral part of moral and educational upbringing. This pressing issue must always be central to the activities of creative intellectuals, educational and cultural institutions, youth, mahalla and women’s organizations, and media representatives, becoming a nationwide movement throughout our society,’’ the President emphasized.

It is worth noting that on October 21, during a meeting on the development of artificial intelligence technologies, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev mentioned that by 2030, Uzbekistan could enter the top 50 countries in the field of artificial intelligence.
