Mirziyoyev Congratulates Tokayev

A telephone conversation was held between President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev on the 17th of May.  

The head of state sincerely congratulated the President of Kazakhstan on his 70th birthday and wished him good health, happiness and success, as well as peace and prosperity to the people of Kazakhstan.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev highlighted Kasim-Jomart Tokayev's contribution to friendship, neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

Issues of implementing high-level agreements were under discussion. 

The officials highly appreciated productive results of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan held in Tashkent in early May.

The practical measures taken in connection with the launch of the joint foreign trade company and the establishment of the International Center of Industrial Cooperation were also noted.  In addition, the Presidents exchanged views on current issues on the regional and international agenda.
