22782In accordance with the order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted measures to investigate the causes of the emergency in Sergeli, mitigate the losses, and provide assistance to the victims. Prime Minister's press secretary, Bekzod Hidoyatov, made this announcement.
According to the order, a government commission consisting of 16 members was formed, with Deputy Prime Minister Ochilboy Ramatov appointed as its leader.
The commission is tasked with investigating the causes of the emergency situation at the warehouse within three days, addressing the losses, and offering medical and psychological assistance to the victims.
Furthermore, the commission is responsible for repairing the damages to all affected houses, including repairing the facades, windows, and frames of apartment buildings, multi-story buildings, and other structures that have been damaged. Measures to provide financial assistance have also been assigned.
We would like to remind you that on September 28, during the night, a powerful explosion occurred at a warehouse in the Sergeli district of Tashkent. The fire was reported to the DES at 02:43 in the morning. A fire-rescue team arrived at the scene five minutes later. The explosion resulted in damage to nearby apartments, shopping centers, and the "Quruvchilar" metro station. A student in the 11th grade, born in 2006, tragically lost their life on the spot.
The MH reported a total of 163 people injured in the explosion, with 24 of them hospitalized and the remaining 138 discharged due to their good health. In response to this situation, the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has initiated a criminal case under Article 259, Part 2, Clauses "a" and "b," for Violation of Fire Safety Regulations.
