Mirziyoyev departs to Saudi Arabia

5250At the invitation of the King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has departed for Saudi Arabia on a business visit today, July 18. This was reported by the President's press service.
As per the program of the visit, the head of state will participate in the first summit in the format of the "Cooperation Council of Central Asia-Gulf Arab States" in the city of Jeddah and deliver a speech.
A series of bilateral meetings and negotiations are planned as part of the event.
The leaders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and the Secretary-General of the Council are expected to participate in the upcoming high-level meeting.
The agenda will focus on the development of interregional cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Opinions will be exchanged on current aspects of international and regional politics.
Let's remind that it was previously reported that the President of Kazakhstan, Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, and the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadir Japarov, will also participate in the summit.
