5069As reported by the president's press service, on November 1, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received a Russian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
The delegation included Russian ministers Alexey Chekunkov and Sergey Kravtsov. The meeting focused on pressing issues related to the further expansion of multifaceted Uzbekistan-Russia relations, which are in line with recent high-level agreements.

During the talks, particular emphasis was placed on expanding educational and humanitarian exchanges between the two countries. Discussions covered the role of Russia’s top higher education institutions in Uzbekistan, the opening of new branches, and the training of highly qualified educators," the report states.
The importance of adopting a joint "road map" to foster practical cooperation between Uzbek regions and Russia's Far Eastern regions was also highlighted. Both sides expressed interest in increasing tourism and organizing joint cultural and sports events.
Notably, in September, President Mirziyoyev met with a delegation including Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev, Presidential Advisor Igor Levitin, and Chairman of "Russian Railways" Oleg Belozyorov.
On September 10, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin also led a delegation that met with President Mirziyoyev.
