Today, on January 24, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, currently on a state visit to China, visited Tiananmen Square in Beijing, as reported by the President's press service. National anthems of Uzbekistan and the People's Republic of China echoed on the grounds, where the head of state honored the memory of those who sacrificed their lives for China's independence and freedom in the 19th and 20th centuries by laying a wreath at the People's Heroes monument.
