On March 12 of this year, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid a state visit to Paris at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. Two documents signed during the visit have now been officially approved, according to the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan.

The approved agreements are:

 An agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of France on mutual exemption from short-term visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports;
 An agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of France on the employment of family members of staff at official missions.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been designated as the authorized body responsible for implementing these international agreements. The Cabinet of Ministers and the heads of relevant ministries and agencies will oversee the implementation process in accordance with established procedures once the agreements enter into force.

As a reminder, during the visit to Paris, Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emmanuel Macron adopted a joint declaration on the establishment of a strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and France.
