Mirziyoyev to visit Azerbaijan

At the invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Azerbaijan on October 6–7. The press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported the news.

It is noted that the head of state will take part in the next summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Gabala.

The agenda of the meeting, which will be held under the theme "Regional Peace and Security," includes pressing issues related to the further development and expansion of multilateral cooperation within the organization.

Discussions will focus on prospects for practical cooperation in politics, trade and economics, innovation, investment, energy, transport and communications, humanitarian affairs, and other priority areas.

The heads of delegations will also exchange views on key aspects of international politics.

At the conclusion of the summit, a number of joint decisions and documents aimed at further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the member states are expected to be adopted.

It is worth noting that earlier, the press service of the Organization of Turkic States informed QALAMPIR.UZ that the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States would be held on October 6–7 in Gabala, Azerbaijan, under the theme "Regional Peace and Security."
