Mirziyoyev wishes olympians good luck

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was briefed on activities related to the expansion of mass sports and the Olympic movement. This information was reported by the presidential press service.
Efforts to improve conditions for sports in various regions, digitize the selection processes, and incorporate advanced practices were also highlighted.
The President was also informed about preparations for the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games.
The prestigious competition will take place from July 26 to August 11 in the French capital, Paris, featuring over 10,000 athletes from 206 countries.
Ninety athletes from Uzbekistan will compete in 19 sports. In addition to traditional sports, this year marks the first time the country has secured spots in football, diving, archery, and women's wrestling. Women make up 36% of the Uzbek Olympians this year.
The President wished the athletes success in the Olympic Games. He also gave instructions to officials on selecting and supporting talented youth and ensuring a quality reserve for national teams.
