Today, February 11, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Alfred Gusenbauer, Aleksander Kwasniewski, and Stefan Füle, members of the International Advisory Council. The presidential press service reported the meeting.
Discussions focused on expert support for Uzbekistan’s reform strategy and enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation with European Union countries and institutions to expand multifaceted collaboration.

"The importance of practical cooperation in adopting international best practices, attracting technologies, and securing investments to modernize various sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy was emphasized," the statement said.
The parties also exchanged views on international and regional issues in preparation for the upcoming 'European Union - Central Asia' summit, set to take place in Samarkand.

It is worth noting that last month, President Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Antonio Costa, President of the European Council, discussing joint efforts to prepare for the first Central Asia-European Union summit in April in Samarkand.
