Mirziyoyev holds phone talk with Emir of Qatar

On July 7, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The information was reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
During the conversation, the two leaders discussed in detail the further strengthening of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Qatar and the expansion of multifaceted practical cooperation.
At the start of the call, President Mirziyoyev praised the Emir’s active efforts to promote peace and stability in the Middle East.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the increasing frequency and effectiveness of bilateral dialogue and exchanges in recent times. According to the report, trade and investment indicators between the two countries are steadily growing, and major projects in industrial cooperation and infrastructure modernization are currently being developed and implemented.
Special attention was paid to preparations for upcoming high-level events, including the first meeting of the Coordination Council chaired by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, the Intergovernmental Commission, the Businessmen’s Council meetings, and the business forum. The leaders also reviewed the schedule of upcoming high-level engagements.
It is worth noting that President Mirziyoyev and Emir Sheikh Tamim previously held a phone conversation on December 17, 2024. At that time, the Uzbek leader congratulated the Emir on Qatar’s National Day and extended wishes of good health, success, and prosperity to the Qatari people.
