Mirziyoyev entrusted the financing of the pharmaceutical industry to Asaka Bank

Yesterday, on 18 April, at the meeting held under the chairmanship of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev regarding the discussion of projects in the pharmaceutical industry, Asaka Bank was instructed to participate as an investor by entering up to 25% of projects in the pharmaceutical industry.  This was reported by the Presidential Press Service.

It was said that 300 million dollars of long-term credit resources will be involved in financing projects aimed at localization and providing working capital.  A center for pharmaceutical projects was opened at the bank, and it was decided to provide assistance to entrepreneurs.

It was also said that 400 types of new products can be developed and import compensation of 670 million dollars can be compensated by supporting enterprises working at low capacity.  For this purpose, enterprises will be given a revolving loan of up to 1 million dollars for a period of up to 18 months, and exporters will be given a loan of up to 2 million dollars with the guarantee of income insurance.

In addition, the possibility of production of drugs and substances necessary for oncology and oncohematology in the country based on foreign technology was shown.

The task of adapting many enterprises in the field to the requirements of the GMP certificate was set.

Tasks were given to accelerate projects in the Tashkent pharmaceutical cluster.
