On 27 August, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, became acquainted with the newly built complexes in the Tashkent region and the capital.

One of them is a single data center of the system “E-Government” built in the Zangiata district.

For the first time, a large-scale data center has been established in Uzbekistan as part of the “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy.  The Head of State examined the conditions created here.

In the center a system with 20 petabytes of memory was installed together with the Chinese company Huawei.  580 servers and 5-megawatt diesel generators ensure continuous operation of the system.  The building’s cooling and fire safety systems also meet all requirements.  In general, the data center has a TIER III certificate issued by the international institute “Uptime”.

“This center is “the heart’ of digitalization, the foundation of “E-Government|, - the president said.

It is noted that as a result of the work of this center, billions of expenses of state bodies for data storage and technical support, as well as improve the quality of services provided to citizens and entrepreneurs will be saved.  Most importantly, it provides reliable protection from cyber-attacks.
