On November 5, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan arrived in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, for a business visit, as announced by the Uzbek President's press service. At Manas International Airport, he was welcomed by Aqilbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, along with other officials.

Tomorrow, on November 6, President Mirziyoyev will participate in the upcoming summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), where leaders from five member states—Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan—as well as leaders from observer countries will be in attendance. This year’s summit, themed “Strengthening the Turkic World: Economic Integration, Sustainable Development, Digital Future, and Security for All”, aims to deepen collaboration on these pressing topics among member states.

The previous OTS summit was held last year in Astana, Kazakhstan, on November 3, marking the 10th anniversary of the organization. Leaders from member and observer countries, including President Sadir Japarov of Kyrgyzstan, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, attended the event. Additionally, a high-level informal meeting took place on July 6 this year in Shusha, Azerbaijan, where the presidents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and representatives from Turkey and observer nations, including Hungary and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, convened to discuss regional cooperation and strategic goals.
