Mirziyoyev attends forum in Ashgabat

2636Today, October 11, an international conference titled "Interconnection of Times and Civilizations: The Basis of Peace and Development" commenced in Ashgabat, chaired by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Notable leaders in attendance include Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkiyan, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Other distinguished guests include the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the head of Tatarstan, the chairman of the UNESCO General Conference, as well as leaders of international organizations, government officials, renowned scientists, cultural figures, and diplomats.
During the forum, each president will deliver a speech, after which they will be awarded the jubilee medal "For the 300th Anniversary of the Birth of Makhtumkuli Feroghi." The forum is part of a larger program celebrating the 300th anniversary of the birth of the esteemed Turkmen poet and philosopher, Makhtumkuli Ferogi.
Bilateral meetings are expected to take place on the sidelines of the conference. It's worth noting that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkiyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin are scheduled to meet for the first time during this event.
