Mirziyoyev, Aliyev, and Arkadag issue joint statement

A trilateral meeting took place today, August 22, at the “Avaza” national tourism zone in Turkmenistan between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the People’s Council Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. At the conclusion of the talks, the country leaders issued a joint statement, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported.

In the presence of the leaders, memoranda on cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics, shipbuilding, and civil aviation were signed, along with an agreement on cooperation between commodity and raw material exchanges and other related documents.

It is worth noting that earlier, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in Turkmenistan. At Turkmenbashi International Airport, he was welcomed by Nokerguli Ataguliev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, and other officials. Subsequently, at the Congress Center of the “Avaza” national tourism zone, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held face-to-face talks with the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the People’s Council, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, with the participation of their official delegations.
