Meta, Google, and Apple pay over 115 billion sums in taxes to Uzbekistan in 2024

In 2024, Meta, Google, Apple, and other foreign companies providing electronic services contributed nearly 116 billion sums in taxes to Uzbekistan, according to a report from the State Tax Committee.  

A total of 63 foreign companies operating in Uzbekistan’s digital services sector paid **115.8 billion sums in taxes—1.5 times more than in 2023. The report highlights that 99.9% of these tax payments came from the following 10 major international companies:  

- Meta – 41.7 billion sums  
- Google – 29 billion sums  
- Apple – 27.3 billion sums  
- Amazon – 4.1 billion sums  
- Booking.com – 3.6 billion sums  
- Netflix – 1.4 billion sums  
- Zoom – 1.4 billion sums  
- Acca – 1.2 billion sums  
- Xsolla – 966.7 million sums  
- TikTok – 903 million sums  

The report also notes that foreign legal entities providing electronic services in Uzbekistan are required to submit tax reports and make payments by the 20th of the month following the end of each quarter.  

These figures reflect the growing presence of global digital service providers in Uzbekistan and the increasing tax revenues generated from the sector.
