Educators in Uzbekistan who may be prone to violence against children in schools are set to be identified and provided with psychological support. This initiative is outlined in the draft state program for 2025, currently open for public discussion.

As part of the program, the psychological support system for all participants in the educational process will undergo significant improvements. By October 2025, specialized courses and programs will be developed for teaching staff to address and prevent issues such as bullying, suicide, juvenile delinquency, and their associated consequences.

In addition, plans are underway to create simulation tools and case studies aimed at increasing teachers' stress tolerance and improving their professional conduct. The Republican Scientific and Methodological Center for the Development of Education has been assigned as the primary entity responsible for implementing these measures.

This move follows several high-profile incidents of violence in schools. For instance, at the end of last year, the deputy director of school No. 26 in the Narpay district of the Samarkand region faced disciplinary action for assaulting a student. Similarly, in October, a computer science teacher in the Akkurgan district of the Tashkent region was disciplined for brutally beating a student.

By focusing on psychological support and proactive training, the initiative aims to foster a safer and more supportive learning environment in Uzbekistan's educational institutions.
