2. Video footage showing a confrontation between law enforcement and civilians in the Andijan region circulated widely on social media. The Security Department of Andijan responded to the incident.
The incident depicted in the video occurred on April 29 at the 11th General Education School in Andijan city. According to reports, the school's security guard activated the alarm due to a disagreement among students. Upon receiving a distress call, rapid response officers arrived and witnessed A.J., along with his mother I.F., engaged in a dispute with other students.
It was reported that when the National Guard officers attempted to intervene, citizen A.J. refused to comply with their lawful orders and actively resisted. However, the situation was eventually defused, and A.J. was taken to the Internal Affairs Agency in accordance with established procedures.
"In response to this incident, the Andijan City Criminal Court imposed an administrative fine on citizen A.J. under Article 194 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, which pertains to failure to comply with lawful orders from a National Guard officer of the Republic of Uzbekistan," the statement read.
Earlier, an incident occurred where a National Guard officer was injured while attempting to break up a fight at a school in the Zangiota district of the Tashkent region.
