Doctors concealed the fact that the blogger Farhod Mannopov, known by the nickname “Mittivine” fell into a coma, from his relatives for 6 hours.  Only after, at the insistence of family members, the doctor was forced to reveal that he was in a coma.  Ulugbek Shodibekov, his friend and member of the “Mittivine” team, talked about this in an interview on one of the YouTube channels.

[On 3 March] Mannopov went into surgery at 1:20 p.m., and it was supposed to be completed by 3:00 p.m.  It was 5:00 p.m., then 6:00 p.m., and he still hadn't come out.  His mother and his wife were inside, and I was waiting near the clinic.  I called his assistant and asked what was going on.  He said that [the doctor’s] other patient was coming, so the operation was being delayed.  How does one comprehend this? I don't think that one patient is operated on over another.  Nothing was said until 7:30 p.m.  Following repeated requets from Farhad's mother, at 8:30 p.m., it was revealed that Farhad had fallen into a coma.  Imagine, they told us this 5 hours later.  The reaction had occured at 1 hour 42 minutes.  "This happened at 2:30 p.m, yet they only informed us at 8:30 p.m., 5-6 hours later," said Ulugbek Shodibekov.
He went on to say that he was also shocked when he found out that his friend had fallen into a coma.  He expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the doctors did not immediately inform Mannopov’s relatives about the problem that occurred 1.5 hours after the start of the operation, but wasted 5-6 hours.

He noted that Mannopov’s heart stopped three times before his relatives were informed.

“It was between 21:00 p.m.-22:00 p.m.  We started bringing in the best doctors.  The doctors who arrived asked questions and mentioned the names of the techniques, but the techniques turned out to be missing.  “One thing is very important to me: for how many minutes did Farhad’s heart stop?”  If I am not mistaken, if the heart stops for more than 6-7 minutes, it causes great damage.  If the body does not work, even if he comes to himself and opens his eyes, he wouldn't be able to move.  Based on this, the doctor we brought asked the anesthesiologist a question: 1 or 2 minutes?  There was no clear answer,” said Mannopov’s best friend and teammate.  Ulugbek Shodibekov added that the doctors were late in noticing that Mannopov’s temperature rose during the operation.  Doctors tried to lower his blood pressure.  Before that, his temperature rose to 42 degrees.  In the meantime, he had a lung bleed.

“The lungs, liver, kidneys, and heart were not functioning three times, and then they informed us,” says Ulugbek Shodibekov.

He continues and says that before Mannopov’s death, his blood tests were checked several times in another clinic, and the clinic where he was operated on did not have the necessary equipment.

“They don’t even have a blood testing machine.  Every half an hour I traveled from Bunyodkor Stadium to Pakhtakor metro station.  I will go, take a picture of the results of the analysis and send them to the hospital.  The doctors we brought from outside began to look after Farhad, but the doctors at the clinic did nothing.  Until now, they have been giving information about what happened.  I went to Pakhtakor 8-10 times till morning.  In the meantime, the situation has improved a little, we have hope.  But if we were told how many minutes his heart stopped, we would have acted accordingly,” says Shodibekov.

We remind you that due to the impossibility of reaching a legal conclusion without conducting a detailed interrogation of the persons involved in the death of Farhod Mannopov, appointing complex expertises that require a lot of time, and conducting a number of other investigative actions, Article 116 of the Criminal Code  A criminal case was instituted under Article 4, Clause “a” of the article (Failure to properly perform one’s duties related to the profession).

Star Med Center, where Farhod Mannopov was found dead, has been closed for 10 days since yesterday, 14 March.  According to the Ministry of Health, a number of inconsistencies with license requirements and conditions were found in this medical institution.
