News spread on social networks that a 13-year-old schoolgirl gave birth to a child after being raped by five 15-16-year-old boys in one of the schools in Khorezm region. QALAMPIR.UZ contacted the Children's Ombudsman to clarify the situation.
It was reported that the incident took place in the Shavat district of the region. 13-year-old school student Sh.Q. was raped by five men and became pregnant and gave birth to a baby girl. Two of the suspects were born in 2005. The other three were 9-10-11 graders.
According to the case, the investigation department of the district DIA conducted investigations before the investigation. On July 19 of this year, a criminal case was initiated under Article 128, Part 1 of the Criminal Code (Sex with a person under the age of sixteen).
Investigations are currently underway. The girl's health is under control, measures are being taken to provide her with social and legal assistance. Additional information will be provided regarding the situation.
