Individuals detained for attempting to sell leased state land in Khorezm and other regions

In the Khorezm, Andijan, and Navoi regions, several individuals were detained for attempting to sell state-owned land illegally, the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office reported.

During an operation conducted in cooperation with the Khorezm regional department, the State Security Service, and the Internal Affairs Department, citizen K.Kh. was apprehended while receiving 30 million sums. The payment was for registering 10 acres of leased land in the "Kungrad" mahalla of Urgench district, originally allocated to him under a lease agreement for running a farm, in the name of another individual, citizen H.S.

Similarly, in the Andijan region’s Khanabad city, citizen F.Kh. was detained with material evidence while accepting \$10,000 from citizen M.T. in exchange for preparing and registering documents that would permit the construction of buildings on 20 hectares of land, which was allocated for a peasant farm but falsely claimed by F.Kh. as his own.

In the Navoi region’s Gozgan city, citizen D.K. was detained while agreeing to sell 13 hectares of vacant land in the “Ak Altyn” mahalla to citizen M.Zh. for \$6,000.

Criminal cases have been initiated under Article 168 (fraud) of the Criminal Code in all these cases, and investigative actions are ongoing.

It is worth recalling that earlier, in the Bukhara region, the head of a farm was caught trying to sell 16.9 hectares of farm-owned land for \$56,000.
