Farmer was caught for stealing 2 billion soums of electricity in Khorezm

In the Urganch District of the Khorezm Region, farm manager B.R. was discovered to have stolen 2,446,000 kWh of electricity, valued at 2,203,000,000 soums, by illegally connecting a water pump intended for irrigating farmland to the network. This information was reported by the General Prosecutor's Office.

In response to this incident, a criminal case has been initiated against the farm officials under clause "a" of Article 169 (Theft), part 4 of the Criminal Code, and the suspect has been detained.

It is worth noting that earlier, in Jizzakh, farms that illegally used 745.3 million soums worth of electricity were also identified.
