Strong thunderstorms were observed in Khorezm and Bukhara

Today, 14 April, strong winds and storms were observed in several regions of Khorezm and Bukhara.  Erkin Abdulahadov, a leading expert of Uzgidromet, climatologist, gave information about this.

According to the press service of Khorezm regional branch of Joint-Stock Company “Regional Electricity Networks”, due to unfavorable weather observed in Urganch city and districts of Khorezm region, power outages are occurring in some areas.

“At the same time, in order to eliminate power outages that occurred at the same time, the Khorezm regional branch of the Joint-Stock Company “Territorial Electric Networks” has engaged all the emergency brigades. We hope that you will understand us correctly in this case.  We apologize for the inconvenience caused.“ the message said.

According to Erkin Abdulahadov, a leading expert of Uzgidromet, the level of air pollution in the “Pitnak” geolocation area of Khorezm region reached the “yellow” level at 03:00 a.m., and at 01:00 a.m., there is a risk of “red” level for human health. 

At the same time, strong dust storms were observed in Olot district of Bukhara region.  Visibility was less than 500 meters.

It should be recalled that on 13-14 April of this year, it was reported that it will be very hot in Uzbekistan, and strong winds will blow and dust will rise in the regions.
