9974The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Oqilbek Japarov, disclosed that the construction of the "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan" railway is projected to require $8 billion.
Preparations for commencing the construction of this railway have been finalized, according to Japarov.
Japarov highlighted that all necessary procedures have been concluded, anticipating the commencement of the construction of the “China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan” railway this year. This development is expected to provide access to the Middle Road, linking Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and the Caspian Sea, thus connecting the region to various global networks, including railway lines and sea routes. This initiative is poised to relieve Kyrgyzstan of its landlocked status. Additionally, it is mentioned that the technical and economic framework of the railway construction project is currently under review.
