President of the International Volleyball Federation visits Uzbekistan

Today, on September 30, the President of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), Ari Grassa, arrived in Uzbekistan, as reported by the Ministry of Sports.

He was welcomed by Bekmurod Abdullaev, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and First Deputy Chairman of the Volleyball Federation of Uzbekistan, along with Deputy Minister of Sports Shahrullo Mahmudov, and experts from the National Olympic Committee and the Volleyball Federation.

Ari Grassa is accompanied by four specialists from the International Volleyball Federation's various departments.

During Grassa’s visit, discussions will focus on elevating the development of volleyball in Uzbekistan, increasing the sport's popularity, improving the qualifications of local experts, and organizing major international volleyball competitions in the country.

It is worth noting that earlier reports stated that Uzbekistan’s volleyball players were unable to participate in the World Championship due to visa issues.
