14962In the 2024 ranking of the best countries in the world to start a career, Uzbekistan is positioned at 99th place, as reported by "CEO World" magazine.
Researchers compiled, analyzed, and compared 127 countries across two main categories: livability and career opportunities. The ranking was based on a survey of approximately 196,000 graduates under the age of 35, and the countries were evaluated according to 19 criteria, including the labor market, economic stability, business environment, income equality, innovation, progressiveness, and livability. Each criterion was rated on a 100-point scale.
A decrease in demand can significantly impact income formation, which in turn may lead to changes in the labor market. While predicting the future of the labor market is challenging, the trend indicates a shift toward a remote working model. Although the discretionary income gap may affect labor market expansion in the short term, the overall country-specific perception is unlikely to change significantly in the near future.
Which countries are the best places to start a career?
According to the magazine, the United Kingdom has been named the best country in the world for starting a career. Germany, Canada, the United States, Japan, France, the Netherlands, and South Korea occupy the top ten positions on the list. Sweden and the United Arab Emirates are ranked ninth and tenth, respectively, within the top ten countries.
The lowest-ranked country is Yemen. Uzbekistan is positioned at 99th, Kazakhstan at 71st, Turkmenistan at 74th, Kyrgyzstan at 119th, and Afghanistan at 122nd. Tajikistan is not included in the ranking.
Recent studies suggest that by the end of 2024, the global labor market will face a shortfall of approximately 56 million educated workers. The study aims to identify the most desirable country for graduates, defined as individuals with a higher education degree who are under the age of 35.
It is also noteworthy that Uzbekistan was previously recognized as the safest country in the world according to the "Security Perceptions 2023" (SPI) index.
