Uzbekistan has begun paying subsidy amounts for April and May this year to citizens who installed solar panels. The State Tax Committee reported this.

It was noted that in April and May this year, 60,193 individuals who used the Solar Household program will receive 156.125 billion soums from the state budget in subsidies for solar energy transferred to the power grid, equivalent to 156,125,388 kWh.

The largest share of subsidies falls to the following regions:

  • Khorezm region — 29.1 billion soums;
  • Bukhara region — 27.1 billion soums;
  • Republic of Karakalpakstan — 19.1 billion soums.

The subsidy can be transferred to a bank card through the “Transfer money to card” window in the Solar Household section of the “Cashback and benefits” service in the Soliq mobile application.

It is worth noting that from April 1, 2023, under the Solar Household program, individuals who installed solar panels in their homes were granted a subsidy of 1,000 soums for each kilowatt-hour of electricity generated by solar panels and supplied to the unified power system.
