Earlier today, an underground water pipeline exploded in the Shaykhantohur district of Tashkent. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has released details regarding the incident.

According to official information, on July 10, a pressurized burst occurred in a D-800-millimeter heat supply pipeline running beneath Farobiy Street. The incident took place during a scheduled pressure inspection of the hot water network within the municipal utility system.

Emergency repair teams from the communal-technical emergency response service were dispatched to the scene and are currently working to resolve the issue and eliminate its consequences.

Personnel from the Tashkent City Emergency Situations Department, the State Security Service (SSB), and various municipal organizations also responded to the incident.

It was reported that three individuals sustained minor injuries and were treated on-site by medical personnel. None of the injured required hospitalization and were permitted to return home after receiving first aid.

As a reminder, a separate incident occurred recently in the Boysun district of Surkhandarya region, where a Nexia-2 passenger vehicle exploded while being refueled with methane. One person was killed in that explosion.
