22757Kazakh heavyweight boxer Ivan Dychko has vowed to knock out Uzbek boxing star Bahodir Jalolov. This was reported by "Vesti.kz."
On August 21, after Dychko entered the ring and knocked out American boxer Craig Lewis in the second round (15-8-1, 8 KOs), he expressed interest in a professional match with Jalolov, confidently stating that he would knock him out.
Dychko's manager, Ziya Aliev, discussed the potential fight with "Vesti.kz," mentioning that a bout between Dychko (14-0, 13 KOs) and two-time Olympic champion Bahodir Jalolov (14-0, 14 KOs) could take place next year.
"I think the fight with Jalolov can happen next year," said Aliev.
For reference, at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, Uzbek boxer Bahodir Jalolov defeated Spain's Ayyub Gadfa, securing his second Olympic gold. After the competition, Jalolov announced his retirement from amateur boxing to fully focus on his professional career.
Following his victory at the Paris Olympics, Jalolov sparked controversy over the participation of professional boxers in the Olympic Games and was criticized by "WorldBoxingNews" users.
It is also worth noting that Uzbek professional boxers Bahodir Jalolov and Shahjahon Ergashev recently dropped out of the top fifteen in the updated International Boxing Federation (IBF) rankings. However, in the World Boxing Council (WBC) rankings, Jalolov moved up two places from last month, now holding 6th place.
