Kazakhstan is considering the possibility of delivering at least 800 million cubic meters of gas from the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan through transit by the end of the year. Kazakhstan's Energy Minister, Almasadam Satkaliyev shared this information with journalists.

Satkaliyev stated, "We will assess how the arrangements progress, but we are considering a minimum delivery of 800 million cubic meters of gas." He was responding to a question regarding the expected volume of Russian gas transit to Uzbekistan by year-end.

At the initial stage, it is planned to supply approximately 2.8 billion cubic meters of gas.

"These volumes have been pre-agreed based on the Republic of Uzbekistan's request," claimed the minister.

It is worth noting that on October 7 of this year, Presidents Vladimir Putin of Russia, Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, and Kasim-Jumart Tokayev of Kazakhstan signed an agreement for the "Central Asia-Center" gas pipeline to transport Russian natural gas through Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan. Under this commercial contract, Uzbekistan has been annually purchasing 2.8 billion cubic meters of gas from Russia, and transit through this pipeline has now commenced.
