Discolored water and an unpleasant smell emanating from the black water channel? The Ministry responds

There have been reports on social networks regarding an unpleasant smell and discolored water in the Karasuv canal, which flows through the Karasuv-4 district of Mirzo Ulugbek district in Tashkent, as well as Ahmed Yugnaki street.  In response to this situation the Press Service of the Tashkent City Adminstration of the Ministry of Natural Resources has taken action.

According to the information provided, a working group was formed to investigate the situation, and studies were conducted at the affected locations.  As a result of the study, it was determined that the water in the Karasuv canal is clean and does not have an unpleasant odor.  The management labratory has taken samples from the water of the Karasuv canal for analysis.

"We will provide further information on the results of the samples as soon as they become available," the statement read.
