7962A video showing drivers trying to cross the road and deliberately crashing into several cars at a wedding in the Kegeyli district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan was circulated on social networks. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Karakalpakstan issued an official response to the situation.
As it turned out, yesterday, on June 12, in the wedding of A.N., born in 2002 and living in Kegeyli district, took place. The groom left the wedding hall in the city of Nukus in a Mercedes. A total of nine cars were involved in the wedding procession, which moved from Nukus to Kegeyli district.
Before the start of the wedding procession, citizen A.N. promised to give 200 US dollars to the driver who managed to stay directly behind the car in which he was riding. When the wedding procession arrived in Kegeyli district, the car drivers participating in the procession deliberately disregarded the rules of public behavior and collided with each other after the groom's Mercedes on Nurli Solsk Street.
No injured citizens were identified during the investigation. The nine cars that participated in the wedding were impounded, and administrative reports were issued to the drivers. Currently, pre-investigation proceedings are being conducted against the drivers, and an administrative case has been initiated under Article 183 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (petty hooliganism).
