A citizen died as a result of a gas explosion in the state tax inspection building in the Khojaly district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic.

On 25 January this year, the incident occurred when lightning struck the kitchen of the Khojaly District State Tax Inspectorate. As a result, a citizen died at the scene from his injuries. Two people were also injured and placed in the district medical association.

In connection with this situation, a criminal case was initiated by the Investigation Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

It should be recalled that 2 people died as a result of an explosion in the boiler room of the academic lyceum in the Surkhandarya region.
